Doris M. Bauder, 86, of the Presbyterian Home, formerly of Whitesboro, passed away, Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at the home.
She was born, January 28, 1920, in Whitesboro, the daughter of Michael and Grace Langdon Madden, and received her education locally. On September 5, 1959, she married Donald P. Bauder, in St. Paul’s Church, Whitesboro. Mrs. Bauder was a secretary for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Utica, for 31 years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Church, and was an avid gardener.
Survivors include her husband, Donald P. Bauder, New Hartford; sons, James E. Bauder & wife Deborah, Clayville, and Lawrence A. Bauder, Grand Canyon, AZ; a sister, Lois Treacy, Clinton; grandchildren, Matthew Bauder & wife Alison, Schenectady, Brian Bauder & wife Tiffany, Denver, CO, Jennifer Bauder & husband Jon Roland, Vestal, and Adam Logan, Salem, OR; special niece, Judy Fiorini & husband Peter, Chittenango, and nephews, Scott Tucker & wife Jo, Austin, TX, and Randy Madden & wife Lori, FL. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Madden.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the entire staff of the Presbyterian Home, particularly the Cedar Unit, for the care and compassion shown to Doris and her family.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m. from the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, Forty Main Street, Whitesboro, and 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church, where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Friday, from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
