Koza, Mildred E.
Mildred E. Koza, 92, of Bridgewater, went with the Lord on Saturday, November 8, 2008, at the Lutheran Home in Clinton.
She was born on July 5, 1916, in Mt. Vernon, NY, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred Krutosik. She was educated in the Yonkers Schools. On June 19, 1937, she married John C. Koza in the Church of Lady of Perpetual Help in New York City and he died on March 2, 1989. Mildred was a manager of Mengers Bakery in Yonkers for 35 years.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in West Winfield.
Mildred was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was a very generous lady to all. With her free time she enjoyed puzzle books and took great pride in her spotless house.
She is survived by her daughter, Eileen M. Duh, of Bridgewater; three grandsons, Leslie Duh, of Harrisburg, PA, Joseph Duh and his wife, Lina, of Sauquoit, and David Duh and his wife, Colleen, of Plainfield; a granddaughter, Eva Morse, of Cold Brook; great-grandchildren, Kara, Elizabeth, Alisha, David, Christina, Brandon and Courtney; a brother, Robert Krutosik and his wife, Ruth, of Alexandria, VA; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sisters, Helen and Josephine.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Lutheran Home and the Bridgewater Volunteer Ambulance for the care and comfort given to Mildred.
The funeral will be on Wednesday at 9:00 at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 365 W. Main St., West Winfield and 10:00 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in West Winfield. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
